Five Galentine's Day Outfit Ideas

By Lauren Wright

It’s only the best holiday of the year: Galentine’s Day. No need for lavish gifts, as the best parts of the day are about the cute outfits and being surrounded by your best friends. The term actually came from Parks and Recreation to celebrate friendship and sororal love. Whether you have arranged a brunch, drinks out or a cosy night in, you’ll need an outfit to wear to feel amazing. Read below to see five potential outfits for Galentine’s Day!

Boozy Brunch

What better way than to reconnect with friends and celebrate the love on Galentine’s then endless amounts of cocktails and brunch. You’ll want to wear something that can adjust to all the food and drink you’re going to consume whilst also feeling cute. Opt for a pair of wide leg trousers or flares for this and then pair with your favourite top- preferably pink or red. Milkmaid sleeves, sweetheart necklines and anything floral is perfect for that girly feel on Galentine’s, a day where you may have never worn something like that before.

Potluck Brunch

Maybe you’ve got a big group or just prefer the feeling of being at home and have decided to have a brunch at home. The flowers are on the table, heart confetti on the floor, and the mimosas are flying off the table. This is an even better place to dress up because its just you and your friends so you choose the dress code. Pair a pink satin slip dress with a chunky knit cardigan for a flattering and dressy look. Wear with boots if you go on a “hot girl walk” because it is still February.

Dinner Party

This is a Pinterest aesthetic favourite of mine. The candle lit dinner surrounded with beautifully dressed friends. Similar to the brunch, but this time a red dress and halter neck with a statement pair of necklace and earrings. This is also the perfect time to wear heels and take lots of polaroid photos together.

Night in

Dressing up may not be your thing, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need to plan an outfit. With so many shows and movies, a girly pamper night sounds like a great option. A matching sweat shirt and bottoms and gold jewellery to dress it up. Then enjoy a face mask and lots of popcorn!

Night out

Perhaps it’s a night out for the girls. In which case find your best pink or red clothes to make yourself feel cute and confident. Or pair a red skirt with black halter neck and trainers so you can dance the night away.

Have the best Galentine’s Day, hopefully these outfits gave you some inspiration.
