FS 2019
Our Music Editor Marco Marcelline sat down with FS Music Guru, Raj to talk tomorrow’s show. The head of Music, and resident FS DJ, Rajvir Visen Singh, promises to bring a breath of fresh air to the standard FS experience this year. Where in previous years there was an accepted dedication to playing safe and people-pleasing House, this time around he will inject the famous fashion show with the sounds of hip-hop and R&B artists. The intermission section will include an exciting performance by St Andrews rapping talent Jonathan Quow. This makes for a fresh change from the usual trumpet player.
For the afterparty, Visen will support the London-based house producer KDA. He is best known for his 2015 song “Rumble”, which then was subsequently reworked into the track “Turn It Up Louder”, featuring guest vocals from Tinie Tempah and Katy B. KDA’s current release “So Real (Warriors)” which features another British female talent, Jess Glynne, has already amassed over 6 million streams on Spotify, and is continuously growing. His well-put together set will definitely keep the party atmosphere going until the early hours. So in short, expect less of the same tomorrow, and more changes instead.
