Ducks Do Not Like Croissants.

By Emily Silk

I was hungover, fancied a croissant, and thought: “let’s take my camera on a day out!”. Once I got my delicious Pret pastry, I set out onto the golden leaf coated path of Lade Braes, excited to shoot some autumnal snaps. After the initial margarita induced nausea, I found myself relishing in the beautiful overlooked scenery that St Andrews offers. I sat by the Duck pond for an hour just enjoying watching their little tails waggling and feet waving as they dunked their heads under the water (and came back up of course, no ducks were harmed on this walk). Feeling like Snow White, I tried to see if they would like some of my croissant (apologies to any duck protection activists), but sadly they do not like French cuisine so none of them were interested. Nevertheless, they sure like to pose and so here are some of my photographs taken on this very pleasant walk.
